Asbestos In Walls

Over the years there has been a few different methods that contain Asbestos, used both in walls and on them. For example, Asbestos was added to plaster as an inexpensive way to insulate buildings. As well as making them fire resistant. Another method commonly used was Asbestos Insulation Boards. Used In walls, ceilings, fascias and soffits. Lastly, Artex and Asbestos Sprayed Coatings were another method used to cover walls.

Asbestos Insulation Board (AIB)

Asbestos Insulating board (AIB) was commonly used within internal partitioning in commercial properties. Its also been used as wall cladding thats usually fixed or boned. Identifying AIB can be difficult without a specialist and/or testing as its often confused with non-asbestos materials. Therefore its always worth testing.
